Meet Kathy Linehan
RVRN’s newest board member, Kathy Linehan, had no sooner retired after 28 years with Adventure Unlimited than she graciously agreed to join our board in early 2022. “I was thrilled to be able to support RVRN—and to have time to do it,” she says, recalling a few conversations early on when the “network” was in its initial planning stages. At that time seven years ago, there was nothing organized within the CS community to serve the needs of loved ones like her son, Jeffrey, who is an RVRN participant.
Now, RVRN programs support parents and loved ones of all ages with financial resources and enrichment programs ranging from CS youth and family camp to work experience to peer connection. “That’s all happened in the last year or two at most,” she observes. “The possibilities are unlimited. We don’t even know how many other people are out there who could use RVRN’s services.”
Kathy lives in Highlands Ranch, Colo., with her husband Mac, a retired Marine, and son Jeffrey. Their daughter, Nicole, lives in Colorado Springs. Kathy brings decades of experience as A/U’s director of finance, human resources, and IT, following years as a teacher and small business owner, and work with two other nonprofit organizations.
Kathy’s entrepreneurial spirit comes at a great time for a growing RVRN. She says,
I just see RVRN on the cusp of blooming into a wonderfully broad organization that can meet the needs on several different levels. That’s how I see the future. To be in on the ground level and help shape it as a board member is very fulfilling. I’ll be so interested to see where God takes all of this!
